Apparently it could, in fact, rain during the Dark Hour. Ledah and April hadn't known this, and getting caught in a sudden storm of blood was unpleasant.

Taking shelter under a nearby awning, Ledah sighed. "Shall we stay here until the hour ends?"

In a pinch, they can serve as weapons as well.

Mm, that they can. Being stabbed with the tip of one would probably cause some damage, along with being whacked by one.

Just have to be careful not to break them.

That is the problem with any weapon, really. The only weapon I trust not to break on me is Lorelei.

Luckily you have Lorelei with you when we go out during the Dark Hour... Kinda wish my guns didn't have a habit of sometimes jamming up.

[It rarely happened, but it was always a pain when it did.]

I still don't completely understand how they work. Or why they're so commonplace.

I can show you how it works sometime. And I think they're commonplace because they're effective long-ranged weapons which are relatively easy to handle. Though it still takes practice to become really good at using them, and some guns are more hard to use than others.

Ah, no, it wouldn't bore me at all! I think it would be interesting!
