You're in a Shin Megami Tensei game! Humans, angels and demons coexist with varying degrees of violence from all sides. Gods and other powerful beings exist and seek to further their own ends while normal humans are caught in the middle of their plots. And who exactly is in the right here, anyway...?

This is a free-for-all tagging post. If you're already playing a Megaten character, great! If your character is from a different canon, may we suggest one of the following options?

1. Demon summoner. Your character makes contracts with 'demons' (all supernatural creatures, good, bad, angelic, fey, or animated cars, are technically demons) and fights alongside them. Whether you're working to change the world or just trying to survive in a harsh environment, you'll need to rely on your demons in order to get by.

2. Demon. You're a supernatural being of some kind. You might be on the side of the angels or a creature from the pits of the underworld, and your goals might differ accordingly. You might be still on your own devices or in a contract with a worthy summoner already.

3. Persona user. Your 'Persona' is a part of your own spirit that you use to fight. You can't use more than one at a time, and your origins are likely to be more mundane than the apocalyptic lands of the demon summoners.

4. Atma. You turn into your Atma Avatar form, bearing a close resemblance to the demons of other games. You eat your enemies to survive. Not for the faint of stomach.

5. Other. What if the world was made of glazed donuts? SMT would still make it depressing.

[Of course, April is just confused about why he hasn't gone, since all of her other demons have.] ... You're not gonna go?

I'm not exactly interested in the Sabbath...

... Well, if you're sure. But you're free to go and do whatever you want, either way, even if you're not gonna take part in the Sabbath.

I would rather stay with you. Being without all your demons leaves you at risk.

[technologic]

[A blink, and then she gives him a reassuring smile.] I'm sure I'll be fine, I think most of the attention is focused on what's going on in town and I've done this before.

[myhorseisamazing]

Despite that, I would feel better if I were with you.

[technologic]

... Hmm, okay, if you're sure. [Once she's done setting stuff up, she takes a seat by the little fire she's started.] ... But you're still free to go whenever you want.

[myhorseisamazing]

[He sits down beside her.] I know. You've always been kind that way.

[technologic]

[She glances over at him in surprise, and then sheepishly rubs the back of her head.] R-really? I just... thought it's better to let you guys do whatever you want, since it's not like I'm your boss...

[myhorseisamazing]

That is kind. Most summoners don't act that way.

[technologic]

Mmm... [Yeah, she had seen summoners like that. And she really doesn't approve.] ... I could never act like that to you guys. You all help me out, so it's only right that I should try to pay you guys back.

[myhorseisamazing]

Things like that are why I - don't want to leave you undefended.

[He was going to say something else, but...]

[technologic]

[She glances over at him, before smiling again. Huh, for a second there it sounded like he was gonna say something else.] ... Thank you, Berith. I really do owe you for being there for me.

[myhorseisamazing]

I'm glad to serve a worthy summoner like you.

[technologic]

[A blink, and then she averts her eyes with a faint blush.] I-I wouldn't call myself that, b-but... I'm glad you think I'm worthy.

[myhorseisamazing]

April...

[A sigh.] You think too little of yourself.

[technologic]

[She glances back at him in surprise, looking about ready to argue. But then she sighs quietly with a nod.] ... I-I know. But it's... hard, to break out of that mindset.

[myhorseisamazing]

If you need my support, you have it.

[technologic]

[She moves slightly, almost as if she was about to hug him, before clamming up and twisting her hands together. But she is smiling brightly.] T... Thank you, Berith. That means a lot to me to hear.

[myhorseisamazing]

It's nothing. I'm happy to be here for you.

[technologic]

... Thank you, I'm really lucky to have you around.

We're both fortunate, I think.

Ehe, I guess we are. And I'll keep trying my best so that I can stay as a worthy summoner.
