...I like lilies, too. And... there's a plant called "snake gourd" that has flowers that look almost like lace.

Clichés usually become clichés for a reason; there's nothing wrong with that. ...I don't know how I feel about the cultivated ones—they weren't common where I'm from—but the wild ones are cute.
