Want to meet Chuuya after the end of the game? Okay! He's a little busy with two toddlers to fuss over, but he'll always be happy to greet someone he likes. (And if you're not someone he likes, at least make yourself useful picking toys up off the library floor or something.) He's drinking a whole lot less than he used to, and is all-in-all in a much better mental state than he was during the game.

You can also get him to visit, probably not with his sons in tow. Still in a better mental state and sober without having a breakdown!

Also up for AUs like 'what if chuuya did a murder' or 'what if the participants were gods' or whatever, I'm easy.

[Yoshimasa has gathered the courage to come out from behind the bookshelf.]

[Ai crouches down and gives a little wave.]

You're pretty. [Yoshimasa. Chuuya nods in agreement.]

That's nice of you. [She smiles a little.] I'm not always, but that's a secret, okay?

Not pretty... you're ugly?

[Fumiya, who clearly doesn't know you shouldn't call girls ugly yet. Chuuya rubs the back of his neck.]

Girls get mad if you say that.

[She groans, but she can't stay too mad.]

Sometimes. But no one's supposed to know that, okay?

[They nod seriously and hold fingers to their lips. A secret!!]

[She smiles and gets back up.]

[Nod! Fumiya's doing especially well because:] Love papa.

...I'm really glad for you. You got everything you wanted. Rin-chan did, too. [She digs the penguin token -- not the Patience token, but the one Rin-chan turns into -- out of her pocket.] At least I think so? I don't know if Piety speaks penguin or not, but Rin-chan was pretty happy getting a pile of fish.

Seems like a solid guess for a penguin wish to me-

Wanna see! [Fumiya is very excited to see an actual penguin, which this token is definitely not.]

Are you sure? I mean, libraries are supposed to be quiet places. But...

[In the background, a well-timed squeal of delight: "SENSEI ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ~!"]

[She looks left and right just in case, then sets down the token.]

Rin-chan, wake up!

[The token does indeed transform into an actual live emperor penguin. It trumpets and starts to waddle around in confusion.]

Fumiya squeaks and tries to pet the penguin. Yoshimasa just stares with huge eyes because a coin just turned into a bird.]

[Rin-chan flaps its flippers and makes more noise. Ai puts a hand on its head and pets it to calm it down before Fumiya can pet it.]

Don't worry, it's just a new place with new people, okay? [To the kids:] This is Rin-chan! I won the token in a game, and then I figured out it could turn into a penguin.

[The kids are too young to doubt that tokens can turn into penguins sometimes. This makes about as much sense as anything else does to a toddler.]

Not cold... [Yoshimasa, struck with sudden concern about how maybe a penguin won't be okay in Japan.]

I'm sure Rin-chan will be okay even if it's warm.

[Rin-chan trills. Ai smiles a little.]

If it gets too hot, Rin-chan can turn back into a token. Don't worry. It's pretty weird, but like you said, magic, right? Honestly, I wish I had an explanation, but...

[Fumiya attempts to trill back. It's not a good recreation, but at least it's recognizably a mimickry. Also it's adorable.]

[Rin-chan looks as confused as a penguin can and repeats the sound again.]

At least they're having fun.
